Ask Yourself Why~9

Ask Yourself Why

Mornings sunrise is yesterdays farewell

The universe keeps the earth in parallel

Generations have passed lost and unguided

So the truth to creation remains undecided

Measure the distance between here and there

Strip down existence and then view it bare

The phoenix lies dormant until itís risen

Awakened by mans incoherent decisions

So walk across sands of ancient pharaohs

As the passage of time quickly narrows

Witness the ending become the beginning

The chambers loaded and stopped spinning

While you walk ahead do you look behind

And explore the long hallways of your mind

Do you learn from reflections of your past

That can rewind forward incredibly fast

Clocks stand still when the future descends

Time is our enemy yet is destinies friend

So consume the horizon and examine the sky

Digest all the questions and ask yourself why

Author's Notes:
This piece is from some of the poems collected so far to
be placed into the pages of what will become my 9th book-
There is so much I could say about this one but I think I'm
more curious to see what thoughts this brings to you-
A little side note that I want to add here is to any of you
who have thought about publishing your work but aren't
sure how to do it-
A little less than 2 years ago I didn't either-
Today I am working on publishing my 8th and writing my 9th-
Follow your dreams people and someday they will come true-

To be able to ask the question, it's helpful if you can understand the answer. I suspect the why is so monumentally simple that we will never understand it...Great think peice, James..getting published is no trick these days..Getting anyone to read what you publish is another matter entirely..When is the last time you saw a book of poetry on someone's bookshelf?...len
