Hum.....Interesting subject. I personally think that some being ,or entity if you want to call it, got bored one day and decided to create the world. I dont really believe in fate but I think that something has some sort of effect on the outcome of our lives. Nice write as usual

I think the choices we make determine the outcome. Nope, I don't believe in fate but I'm open to any argument that can prove it to exist. Great stuff Henry, wow...way to get the old gears in motion. (mine...not yours...lol)

As Chung King said during the Ring-a-ding-ding dynasty, "It is through the perception of the illusion by which we experience reality."...I have no idea on how to even grow a fingernail, buddy..TRying to figure out whether all choice is really motivated by internal factors we are unaware of is a little beyond me...If you accept the pre-ordained angle, you have to believe that when you drop a french fry on the floor, the precise time and location of its landing has been planned from before time began..I just can't see the creative force behind the curtain micro-managing events to that extent. I suspect that the game was put in motion and that randomeness is all part of the master plan. Butt, there's no way of knowing, is there?...len

Hmmm, I will have ponder... My view? Well, I think our life do have a certain plan laid out for us, but, we have to make decisions on that path which, eventually, will determent our life’s path... The question of questions Henry, just done better... :o) Adri x

The answer is so easy to see, the choice is up to you and me. Whether I go left or I go right, fate has nothing to do with my plight. One thing is certain, my life will be zapped out, until then though, my life is not mapped out!
Very thought provoking write Henry, are you sure you wrote this? LOL! Joe

Destiny is written for us, but we have to make our own happiness I dobelieve. For if you shut the curtains on life and never walk through the open door how can you find others to share it with.
You sometimes have to help destiny along. Pause for thought
A terrific write Henry it was so pleasing to read

OH GOD I DON"T KNOW!!! :o)
I feel quite certain there is a weave upon which we are all interconnected...and perhaps this is mistaken for fate?
But if future exists already...how can there not be fate?
Wonderful poem to make one question Henry...love your philosophical quanders.
Hugs, Pamela

I often wonder too. I think maybe we all have a hand in fate. Good poetry here.

Henry,
This poem I so enjoyed..asking questions about our life... Fate they say has already been mapped out for us... But I also think we control our fate to a degree .. we have to make changes if we want our life to take a different course.. I love this.. thoughts to ponder.. Hugs ~ Raven

I find myself wondering the same things at times, Henry...and I always like to think that we're individuals with individual choices...but at times it's like we have no voice in what happens around us. We're just strapped in and hanging on as we pummult over the edge...left in the hands of whimsical fate.
Very interesting write, and certainly a question that I want to see the answer to....
Hugs!
