Poetry Wannabe
No pro
Trying so damm hard to act like you know
Putting together nonsense sentences and words
With not a clue as to what the hell you're doing
Never gonna be a bestseller or anything even close
That much is for damm sure
Turning all the world's greatest poets over in their graves
Screaming out loud
From way down 6 feet under
Begging and pleading
Please oh please Poetry Wannabe
Please write another word
Nevermore!

A little extra chill in the air
A harsh hush falls over the crowd gathered
Nobody knows quite what to say
Quite how to impress upon you
Just how very much your delusions of grandeur
Depress all who are near enough to hear or unfortunate
enough to read them
Throwing up their guts
In a rage over your ugly rantings there on the page
Leaving both little children and adults alike
Scarred for life
Living with the endless undying terror that....
Someday again soon
You will bring forth that poison pen
A poetry wannabe
Leaving us all wishing that you would write another word
Nevermore!

Never anything more or less
Just usless
Writings and rantings that you call treasure
We rightly and justly call trash
Cos unlike you
We are the professionals here
Polished and smooth
With more years experience and talent then you could
ever hope to have
So why even bother?
So why not try your hand at something new?
Something that you can actually do
Tell me
Would't that be better then being called names and
teased everytime that you post?
Like this?
Poetry Wannabe
Please, oh please, from the pros who know
Here is our most heartfelt advice
Please Poetry Wannabe write another word
Nevermore!

We have made our request
We have ask you nicely
Now would you please, please, please!!!???
Put us all out of all misery and leave
Nevermore to darken the door of our fine poetry site again
No need to say a word
Just up your computer, paper and pens
Then walk quietly out that open door
With not a pout or a mean retort
Just know this
Someday you're gonna thank us
No doubt about it
Someday you're gonna look back and say to yourself
Thank God I listened to those smarter and better then me
Thank God I walked away when I did
Now I'm free at last to go after my other real joy in life
Whatever that is
Oh yes, Poetry Wannabe someday this can be your future
But only if you do it now
Right this very moment
Vow to us
One and all that you will
Write another stupidly painful word of yours...

NEVERMORE!
