Lost ~*~ Jewel

He was looking for a sparkling diamond ,
but he only looked at the ruby blazing stone

He wanted the expensive dazzling jewel,
but to this day he is still all alone.

The firey ruby lay within his blinkered sight,
among the many treasures of silver and gold.

He knew how she really loved him and felt,
but he only wanted the diamond to love and hold .

She became lost in the treasure box among the precious jewels,
now fate tell the sad  story, he now, became the silly fool.

A sad image, to become lost in the box of precious jewels...I liked your metaphor usage here.  It worked and flowed nicely in the poem.  Great job!

Hello dear,

This was wonderful penning...

I thnk this is a great write for discussion...
Do we hold out for the one "diamond" or "settle" for the ruby...
I think this kind of question is what makes our life decisions so darned tough.

Very provcative dear Lady~

Hugs,
Little Fox~

Wonderful Scarlett this is a treasure in itself, your talent truely shines like the jewels you portray.

His loss that he looked the wrong way.

Too often what we need stares us in the face and we are too blind to see.

A sad but lovely story told here in this fine poem Scarlet.
