The Kingdom's Fall
Dry castle walls have fallen
to a state of disrepair.
Bright flowers in the garden
have all succumbed to despair.

Old stones collect in shadows
of what once had been so grand.
Sad willows of the forest
have forgotten how to stand.

Empty aged hallways beckon
to once again be traveled.
Cracked ivy covered stanchions
struggle to come unraveled.

Many new subjects have come
and amongst the ruins lived well.
Yet none of them had the means
to break wicked madmanís spell.

The banished queen was missing,
grieving King so seldom seen.
Majestic ruined lawns wilted
dark brown death consuming green.

And so the kingdom suffered
exhausted by madmanís greed.
Yet defied with inner strength
with more blood yet left to bleed.

An inciteful piece that I found to be well structured.Another masterpiece of course that you have written.
