Song For A Tree

oh brother tree

may i also spread my words

letters omens spoken symbols

strewn in the leaves of  tomorrow.

tremble for in the shards

of my secret darkness

the marrow of my vision gleams

a simple lamp

sheens at tomorrow

in a house of change

turmoil and suffering are lurking

in the boughs of time

and still brother tree

i am not hollow

so the storms

shall pass

for my branches bend

to allow the moon

to swim in the depths

of the leaves that shall

depart from me

like letters leaking from

old book..

I loved that last comparison...metaphor, Andrew~

We are a page upon which our lives are scribed well bound in the book...alas...our loosen from the binding is inevittable and we fall from the book...

And once again, fall, the time of colorful, fallen, flitting leaves is once more upon us! :o)
Happy raking my friend!! :o)

So glad to see your back again and posting, you have been missed my friend~
Hope all is well with you?
The last stanza...

"for my branches bend

to allow the moon

to swim in the depths

of the leaves that shall

depart from me

like letters leaking from

old book..".......(like this)
