Double Edged Sword
Cool falling rain caresses my warm skin
Yet in a flash, Iím drowning in past sin
Sweet scented daffodils tickle my nose
Still my blood drips when pricked by a thorned rose

Tortured, my heart has turned to lifeless stone
But my eyes still cry when Iím left alone
My soul is touched by musical birds
Yet, I hurt when beaten with unkind words

I can find beauty in grass wet with dew
Yet stumble and fall when dreams I pursue
Calming winds wash me in fresh cleansing waves
Still my eyes cry when I see unknown graves

I find peace in the power of crashing waves
Still I am lost amidst my minds black caves
My eyes find beauty in fresh fallen snow
Yet Iím touched by sweet sorrows sad poems bestow

I find serenity in falling rain
And my heart can bleed for a friend in pain
My soul can feel a lost loves phantom kiss
And emptiness of this lonely abyss

I can be brought to tears by a sweet taste
Jump over hurdles fateís strategically placed
Become saddened by birds robbed of flight
And from childrenís laughter, filled with delight

My emotions explode, like a bursting dam
Extreme contradictionsÖDefine who I am

A far gentler poem than I'd have guessed, from its title.  But then, you have set a precident for being a gentle soul...  Probably the reason for your muse in the first place, eh?

Lol, I guess I could run circles all day...  If I get too dizzy, just set me down and let me lay there awhile, okay?

I can really feel the intensity of each mood. Like waves in the ocean crashing one after another. It is universal enough to fit how many feel. Life is such a constant attack on the senses. And I think passionate for life is a wonderful way to describe you.
