Witches Vengence

The new moon rises

As the witches gather upon the hill

The sacred stones glow with an ethereal light

The stars lie in anticipation

As the mystic forces rise

The time of vengeance is nigh

For murder of their sisters

High Crimes against the Covens

The ones who hunted them

Shall suffer pain a thousand fold

Familiars watch with glistening golden eyes

Chanting, calling unseen forces

Tension rides the air with ebony wings

The cadence grows faster and stronger

Magic flows guided by the ancient song.

The Crone watches as her children dance

More fevered their footsteps come

The magic and the song climbing

Seeking climax

Searching for its intended victims

On wind's chariot doom flies

Fires burn unstoppable

Masters of the witch hunt

Their families and willing helpers

Die unexplained

Screaming till they breathe their last

All falls silent but for the hooting owl

Their life force can finally find rebirth

Knowing that their deaths have been avenged.

The magic seeps back to the Mother

Who cradles all in her loving breast

Nicely penned, little buddy..:O)..They really had a hard time in Salem, deciding which witch was which..They coulda gone father, but they were running out of villigers to pile rocks on...What a lovely paranoid Puritan existance, huh?

Your knowledge of the times brings us a well-rhymed storyline of the times of revenge and mystery~  As they somewhat remain to this day~  It was an intriguing read.  Well crafted, Mad Mod~!

Merry part,

A crone from the forest...
