When Did?
When Did?
When did peace become un-cool?
When were protesters considered just fools
When did god give his authority away?
And to politicians claiming that of course "they do it his way"
"Come on" .... this can't be right
Where are those hippy warriors of peace and light?
You know the ones with flowers, and nothing on their feet
I guess they're middleclass-middle-aged now, but I wonder if they weep
So are we just paralysed in front of the breaking news?
To let events go on without consideration of our views
The world has changed incredibly it seems,
When love and peace are just relegated dreams

I really enjoyed reading this piece, i mean it's just so true that 'love and peace are just relegated dreams' these days, it kinda scares me too.

Like what will happen to us in the future?.. if we don't stand up for what's so wrong.

I've asked the same question, Bob..The only people I've seen protesting the war in Iraq were the same hippies that were protesting Viet Nam..The younger generation is too busy with their I pods and cell phones to notice what's going on, I guess..When the young generation has no fire for anything other than technology and landing that cool job, things don't look so hot for the revolution we really need.I notice I'm on top of Jolen..Hope she don't mind..len

Most of the hippies had to join the game to survive. Excellent write and enjoyed the audio read very much. jp

Things have really changed haven't they? Commercialism has taken over
the interest of peace for a lot of today's youth. Good work.
