Blank Page Blues

Blank Page Blues

numb
and unfeeling
I see it
but canít write it
blank
empty
desire less

lost it
wonder if I ever had it
shaking my head
mixed up words
no comparisons
metaphors
analogies
poetry?
not even

panicked
deep breaths
fumbling
nothing........

just one
big
white
page
staring at me
laughing
taunting
pfffttttttttt
'you are nothing'
and I

believe it

I sure do recognize that emotion when there is no commotion going on in our brain.  I love the poem but hate the feeling just like you do dear.

Hey...you been in my head lately??? Sounds like it. Been there, done that, and am in the process of designing my own tee shirt to commemorate the occasion...Actually, these occasions happen more often lately than the ones where the words flow...sighs...

Cute work!

Hugs...

Glata

We all go through times like you are describing here Cindy!
Your gift of expression shows with every word!
You're a wonderful poet!
We often cut ourselves short!
Believe in the one in the mirror Cindy!
You're amazingly gifted!

Very funny Cindy, the dreaded writers block and the emotions that are felt with it! All written down in a humorous way. Great stuff Cindy , on a subject all of us here can relate to.    Henry

Dear Cindy-
This was a great view into what a writer may see staring down at the blank paper

before them waiting for that pen to start moving-

Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't-
This is something a good writer understands well and I thought you captured the frustration
when it doesn't well-
Hope all is going great for you and Life is on smooth seas~
Best Wishes to You and Yours~

Peace~

James

Yep.  Been there too many times to count.  I usually cut out little snow flakes or make paper planes from the white paper.
