Between Heaven and Earth

I walked without touching the ground

Continued along without a sound

Walked past people forever unseen

Lost an identity that once had been

Glided along the moonlight breeze

Blessed a man when I heard him sneeze

Although we exchanged no replies

I looked him squarely in the eyes

And my past I shed just like snake skin

For now a new chapter can begin

The experience has left me colder

Deep inside I now feel older

From this ocean I began to rise

Rinsed off the dirt I’ll always despise

Walked along the beach with winds of change

And I let my soul get rearranged

My vision so clear it frightened me

“Could I have drowned within that sea?”

For the chains I wore had abandoned me

This moonlit evening I was free

I spread my wings and was free of pain

Soared high on sweet life once again

And forgot those people that made me jaded

For so much had the bad times faded

This weekend I experienced rebirth

When I walked…

Between Heaven and Earth

Author's Notes:

This weekend really has been my rebirth, I heard some very wise words about how those that truly love us can forgive us. That opened a door I needed to step through, while I step through it without the love I once had I now understand that it wasn't the kind of love which foundations are built for far too easily love this day crumbles under pressure. I am sorry to all those that feel this change is bad but then everyone is a critic.

Another one that makes me smile, deep down in the heart, well written and well done. Somehow you've found, what I could not give you.
