Stupid I Should Be

Stupid my name should be

Six million times he hurt me

yet still I grasp to hold onto him

thinking one day he will understand and I will win

But just when I tell him goodbye

I realize that he's my true one and only guy

I slash my wrists and rip my  heart

Why can't I just find a new start

I cry with deep black circles around my eyes

Hoping one day I'll get over this and RISE

I shoot up injections in my arms

to forget my troubles and my harms

Soon this thick glass shell will break

Then I won't have to pretend and act all fake

Maybe I'll turn into a beautiful butterfly

Or maybe I'll be a black cloud in the sky

But though I'm depressed I won't end my life

Even though I may have strife

My life will not end with the sharp, jagged knife

Author's Notes:
Depressed, love someone, but I will not end my life, Life is too precious and I need to get over my strife.
