Economy Stimulant~8

Economy Stimulant

Sure Iíve got problems and I always will
But donít try prescribing me a happiness pill
Because I donít like what they now represent
The newest governmental economy stimulant

Sometimes lifeís a bitch but my minds not cracked
So I donít want your Zoloft, Perquisites or Prozac
This existence was meant to have a little stress
That represents the different levels of this test

Have people grown so completely incapable
That we dull the purpose of our growing soul
This experience places us in different situations
Adding emotional additions to our vibrations

We each live in dimensions created at birth
Separated by rotations of the planets and earth
Remember life divides both pleasure and pain
Like sands through the hourglass grain by grain

Author's Notes:
About This Poem:

This piece is from the pages of my 8th book I am currently writing-
As we reach a level of complete confusion, many are turning
to mood altering drugs freely handed out by doctors all over-
When I got in a severe motorcycle accident a few years back they
tried to load me up on pain pills but I refused to take them-
Then about 5 weeks later the doctor tells me I heal at an
incredible rate-Imagine that-
The body fixes itself when it knows the problem is there-
My son was telling me the other day that pills are the new in drug
at school and kids trade them around like baseball cards-
Welcome to the worlds newest epidemic created and allowed by
the government to keep you happy-

I agree with popping pills for a quick fix ....but some people really do need those types of pills to function in the real world.....C

Life has its ups and downs...that's why we call it such a "ride," I guess. Without those ups and downs, though, what a boring existence it would be! Pills that make everyone think the same and feel the same...are far too often prescribed just to benefit the drug companies...and to keep doctors and "shrinks" in business!
Awesome write, always!
Love ya!

I do agree with this one. I have one thing that I have had for life and don't have a choice but to take medicine for that, but it has nothing to do with pain. Seizure control, and I would truly love to throw those pills away too. Great write James; I love it.
