Beware Foolish Heart~Cowrite by Cindy Bendel and Michael Meddings

Beware Foolish Heart

Beware Foolish heart

It is not safe to venture thus

It is not wise if yet too late

Return to me once more

In helpless ecstasy you wandered

In hapless joy return if not too late

Stray not down that broken pass again

Turn back toward a lighter path

Hearken not to the sound of the morning dove

Listen not to the sweet coo of passion's whisper

Oh beware foolish heart

Where love ere shall take you

For there within its tender grasp

Is the route to soft damnation

And yet these words are hardly heard

When love takes in the heart

For the simplest fact of all my love

The heart’s no power nor reason

In the end know of this love

It comes when we least expect it

It is helpless, it is hapless, it is senseless

But helpless and senseless though it be

Simply and irrevocably I do love thee

Heck no...one cannot deny love, power and reason don't stand a chance...let it IN...or it shall break down the door!

You two romantics knock my socks off! This is very lovely, as light as air. =))
