Underneath the stars

Enveloped by darkness
We lay on a blanket underneath the stars
I am lost in eyes reflected by moonlight
A luminescent glow lights your face
Your beauty enhanced in starshine
How lucky I am to hold you so close
To feel you next to me
Heaven is a mere heartbeat away
I reach for you and pull you close
Place a kiss upon your soft, sweet lips
I see stars with eyes closed
You have transported me to a special place
A place you alone can take me to
The stars appear to be within our grasp
We both see them with unopen eyes
On a blanket underneath the stars
A wonderful discovery is made
Amidst starshine and moonglow
In the shadow of nature's great stage
I found that one special woman
Knowing you are everything I have looked for
I am fortunate that on this night
I have the greatest gift lying next to me
You

"one special woman"...and she is a keeper! Wow, I feel a very strong connection with her in this poem. "Knowing you are everything I have looked for" ...sigh, I hope you realize her worth each and every day. This lovely poem is filled with admiration and appreciation...the stuff of love...keep the love strong Henry! Well done!
