Losing Illumination

Losing Illumination

sun swim into tomorrow

only the ship of night passes

languid waters merge

into your gleam and your

liquid surf molten burn

and i the most

silent of witnesses.

swarming with the driftwood

of words and waves of images

empty seashells of thoughts

a flag hangs limply

from the mast

for it knows that its lot

waits in the darkness

a stranger that

comforts with stars

water flows you

to the other side of the sky

as i watch the twilight

come to the feet

of moments

sand pouring

as i am left at the beach…

"A stranger that comforts with stars"... that can only be you, Andrew. Very atmospheric, I can see you standing by the sea...
