Winters ~*~ Embrace

Swallowtail Butterfly's
flutter playfully
in the cooler breeze
of  a late
Autumn day

Heading south
for their long journey
weather and feather winds
that sends them
on their playful way

Autumns leaves
are being painted
one leaf at a time

The rains and frost
with the artist hands of paint
that mingle  with musical
golden chimes

Autumns delicate face
dressed in fairy lace
her sheer silk covering
cannot with stand
Winter embrace

Lovely interlude of autumns sweet but fragile grace.

I loved the painted leaves...one at a time.

and the final stanza was very poignant.

Very nice imagery, too. :o)

Best wishes,
Little Fox~
