In Dreams

This mind's eye drew to a slit long ago.
Coated by scale of joy and sorrow,
Through cataracts were dim days ahead.
Yet on one fateful occasion, I dared to dream.

Hidden in this transient landscape,
Where each step reverberates with reality,
There might be one gem, fit to last forever.
Dreams, the fumes of life, move me along.

Who deserves what is unimaginable?
Venturing forward, I sailed toward my dream.
As some gems lost luster on close approach,
One burned still brighter to be realized.

Through a complete cycle around the sky,
I recognized you, alone, in dreams.
Found your heart so strong and true.
In brightest sun, my dreams persist of you.

Sometimes...I believe...I know...we go further than our dreaming. And these dream really FEEL just wake up KNOWING it was not a typical dream. Well, the only way besides tracking down the person you met in lalaland, and hoping they remember...which CAN happen :)

GREAT poem Rich :)

No matter when, or how, that one can come shining through with the brightest of lights, true~ We follow them in dreams and then bump into them in reality~ This is an exceptional piece of poetry, Rich, one that the reader may enjoy with zeal~
