When We Are Dead

When we die and are homeward bound
we are buried in the ground

Bugs eat our face
at an amazing pace

We feel no more pain
or hear the sounds of rain

Our bones are all that is left
after all of the bugs theft

The roses we no longer smell
on our way to Heaven or Hell
