Tomorrow
It doesn't seem to matter,
How much I dare to care,
What you mean to me,
Or the amount I share.

Tommorrow, I have no idea,
Just what to say,
How to feel more real,
Or how to help you stay.

Warm and soft,
Are your slopes my dear.
Perfect walls that shut me out,
Anytime I get too near.

Your gentle song-like voice,
Now the only initiated touch.
The way you used to reach out,
I miss that so, so much.

Your beautiful eyes,
Transfix me in your presence.
To see your smile remains,
My goal of existence.

Yet held away I am,
By your wall of fear.
Nothing left I can do,
Seems abundantly clear.

Precious rapport lost,
As your fear of hurt grew.
The acts of someone,
I never knew.

What I ever did,
To resemble that man,
Remains something,
I still cannot understand.

Patient, yes, I've been.
Standing on the shifting sand.
Asking, how much sadness,
These old legs can stand.

Each time you are near,
The joy growing in my heart,
Is less precisely balanced,
By pain each time you depart.

As that hour arrives,
I start to feel I'm dying inside.
Moaning when you can't see,
I feel my flesh tearing and hide.

Your contageon now I've caught,
I'm fearful that tommorow,
I can't resist loving you more,
Even more than I did today.

So what is left for us?
Is fear enough to end our days?
Can time's arrow be a cure?
Or tomorrow will we find a way?

Until she lets go of the past, you won't win. Good luck. I know of us can relate to this. Very strong and emotional write, you wear your heart out on your sleeve here, very nice Rich, Joe

This was filled with anguish of how to trun back time and rcapture something that has been lost along the way. Can be quite painful, but there is always hope. May you find your love Rich, old or new, and whatever will bring happiness to your soul and heart. Nice to see you post btw. Barbie

Writing about someone special, Richard, is tearful, at times~ We look back at what we had, and it makes it rough to try and get back to that lovely point of togetherness~ This poetry, first of all, is welcome, hearing from you~! And, secondly, I find it quite an affirmation of love~
Great to see your words...
Hugz, Margaret....
