For A Stranger

no matter which hill
you came out of
while the whispering folk
laughed for the door
is denied you.
no matter how
beautifully you walk
across the prairie grass
not a seed trod upon
in the language of your passing..

no matter the leaves
that try to strewn you
with their moth like urgency
to slip within your cloak
and touch your skin
with the nakedness of trees..

stranger why do you walk
between the simple hewn garden
of my thoughts.
for my lack

of words
does not mean
a lack of understanding
for my silence is a kindness
and out of my heart

their grows
a burning flower
that blooms only in my deeds
a concern just for you
so walk away
without the burden of a name
for my garden
only gives the fruit of forgetfulness.

Andrew~
Very interesting yet beautiful piece.
Why shouldnt a stranger walk amongst your garden of thoughts?
Doesnt seem to be a bad place to be from time to time..even if the only fruit that you bear is forgetfullness..we all forget and some...make it a point to remember something that touches.
Great write~

Do we make up our thoughts or do our thoughts make us who we are? Lovely work, Andrew. Walking inside your mind must be a mystical experience.
