Such A Tide

such a tide

of leaves unfurl

in a lawn that seems to waiting…

words how they live

and come into being.

i am a creature

who uses words

but perhaps the words

 use me

to find a pleasure

 the proper placement

in a pattern of utterance.

such a tide

of leaves unfurl

in a lawn that seems to waiting…

must i rake the waves of leaves

there is something joyful

in being silent

and watching the world

offers such beauty

share innocence without a price.

such a tide

of  leaves unfurl

in a lawn that seems to waiting…

that the map

i have been

drawing on fresh found paper

the craters with

serene and tranquil names

and empty seas.

notations of lunar song.

in moonlight

the scattering of the leaves

intersect the very fabric

of my sentence

and i in silence

labor a joy of the rustling mounds

of worlds that sparkle

in the compassionate words uncounted.

:o) So often I feel that same way...like the words are using me. :O)...definitely slave to my fickle muse.

And I have discovered just recently, whilst being imposed a break of silence, that yes...it is peaceful, and pleasant. I actually enjoyed it, mostly.

But now the fall is upon me once again, and I am playing joyously in the leaves...weeeee! :o)

This was a really nice poem Andrew...conjured lovely images and thoughts.

Hugs,
Pamela
