Holes Of My Pockets

when the moon is full

and gleams

a ghostly dew

on grass and tree

a veil of mystery

an unexpected innocence

coalesce a omen of winter

a shivering rune

as the stars

swam luminous

in the expanse of space

as geese make magic

rhymes in flight

and beat of wing.

how my words

walk on the roof

on the other-side

 of my thoughts

as the cold

touches the circumference

of my tiny world

were i walk in narrow ideas

 in  drafts and

numbing sentences of responsibility.

my words like to hide

in the patterns of sheets

in the inwardness of letters

and living scripture

and i empty myself

of what i imagine

myself to be…

and how my eyes

 tell me to read

for if i could

for a

moment live spell

 a gentleness of text

touch something

 beyond my skin

then the words

would never leave

me a strange companion

 for the desert

i have carved

 in my feelings

and separations

as leaves stir

against the glass

of windows

wide shadows yearning

for the light

to fall asleep

and walk inside

what i have swept

with my broom of prayers

the time is late

but helpful words

do not leave me

to the yearning

and sightless labor

of my unimportance

for my selfishness

 i push deeper

into the holes of my pockets…..

Andrew~
Just wonderful..where do I begin?
The first stanza just grabbed me and then held onto me until the last word..truly a deep and heart-felt write.
May those holes in your pocket be sown by brighter and better days.
