Drop of Rain

Your smile lightens the snoozing sun

The sky is tapestried with your dappled dimples

 Doves run our blind messages..

There is an old man by the riverside singing softly

Of love unrequited and love dying unloved

There is a drop of rain on my brow

I must go now with the sky's tears

And my eyes heavy with your pebbles.

This just makes me cry.  Why is it our hearts are so tender?  Why are eyes heavy with pebbles that relieve only when ready?  Ahh such is the way of love at times.

You are such a wonderful poet.  I am always moved when I stop on your page.  Thank you. ~Pamela
