She walks down to the rivers edge and stares into its flow
Her mind wanders back upstream of choices made long ago
She looks downstream and notices the rough water ahead
The boat beckons her to board for a journey she may dread

Oh where is my safe haven, my island in the sun
The arms that I can run to, when my day is done

She boards the boat unsure of the path that she must choose
Fearful of what lies ahead and the chances she might lose
She hits rough water dark and murky, her mind clouded in doubt
The rocks now scraping the boats bottom, is there no way out

Oh where is my safe haven, my island in the sun
The arms that I can run to, when my day is done

Her journey has been a rough one and has taken out it toll
Her resolve gravely shaken but not the purity of her soul
She notices calming waters that might last for awhile
She guides herself downstream flashing her pretty smile

I've found my safe haven, my island in the sun
It's been right here within myself, no longer shall I run
And though there may be rough water, I will be alright
Downstream may be dark ahead, but at the end there is a light

Henry, I've been on that particular journey, and yeah, eventually discovered that I held the keys to my own destination. Now, what to do with that set of keys? The choices are endless, but there's always a calm port within my mind now...I know where I can turn :)
Hugs! and wrote my life here...beautifully!
