A Million Thank- Yous

A million thank-yous
I am sending to you,
You were here for me
When I was feeling blue.

You never let me down
You were here when I needed you most,
I owe you a million thank-yous
I'm not here to brag, nor boast.

A million thank-yous
Go out to my friends in this site,
Here's a virtual hug
I'm squeezin' with all my might.

Author's Notes:

I was going through a lot of hard times back then. I wrote this to give thanks to everyone here that stood by my side. I still appreciate the help and comfort, to this day.

Dear Cynthia-
Christmas seemed to have a dimly lit road last
year but the spirit of Christmas still shined-
Life is a Journey and as the storms may intencify
at times they eventualy become calm for a time also-
This site has always been great about trying to
be more than writers critiquing anothers thoughts-
I have thanked the members of this site more than
once for their desire to offer kindness and compassion amongst each other-
When we lost my Mother-in-Law to cancer Oct 4, 2005 my family took it very hard-
She had really been involved in my childrens lives
and my son wrote a tribute to her that night-
Most of you who have read my sons writing know
he definitely has his own style and delivery-LOL
But I asked a few of the members here to please
read his tribute to help boost him a little-
Each person told another and in 4 days he had
over 30 people leave their thoughts with him-
He had never had that many people read his work
here so he was very proud of that poem-
Today he has burned a few of his own CD's with
his lyrics and vocals along with a few of his friends-
So I want to say thank you for reminding me of
that moment by sharing these thoughts with us-
Best Wishes to You and Yours~
