In the closet that Held one Book
In the closetthat held one booklong agoBefore the night learned to speak.Wind came to comb the roofOf my intentions while I slept.Far the leaves of memory stirsin moon stained ground.Swaying over hedges that i thought i had safely plantedtrellises of  meandering hair. The ancient book like a curious smooth stoneWas discoveredIn an unused closedA place where i found my shadow dreaming--the light of spirit on the pages--forgotten as the old ones walk in the wide darknessin the world outside my imagination. And from its depths the gryphon comeInto the silence and lamp lost world.Castles of strangenessAnd notes of powerGryphon take me backWith you as you battle those who walk backward across their promises. Those who shall never harvestPlant their dreams with shears of spitefulnessAnd abandon the children of their kindness Write your mysteriesIn the bowls of my blinking eyes.My eyebrows will hold the secret script whisper of your flowyour words into me so I can grow. For your wingsDisturb a flood of images beyond letteringBeyond the cleverness of lips  Take me Into that world that lies beneath the ink my dear gryphons for my flesh longs for wordsmy skin the merest characteras my spirit longsfor the gentlenessan empty elegance of throatfor simple punctuationand as skies enchanted with mysterious rhymesand trees give up their unnamed fruitlike i forget my scraf wrapped in a white picket fence .

It sounds as though your muse is found in dreams...or at least, it seems...that that is where you beseach your muse. :o)

I wonder of the book, is that some type of reference similar to an akashic access? Your...library of ideas?

And the scarf...has me baffled :o)

An interesting ponder...
Very vivid imagery Andrew~
A brilliant painting.

Best wishes,
Dragon~

Andrew, this is amazing, as you have taken us to a far-away place, put us in a scene of the past, and your work from title to ending is magnificent~! Much is to be learned from such an Ethereal write~

ANDREW, HOW YOU CAPTURE MY HEART WITH YOUR POEMS.. I HAVE MISSED YOU AND YOUR WISDOM...(((Take me Into that world that lies

beneath the ink my dear gryphons

for my flesh longs for words

my skin the merest character

as my spirit longs

for the gentleness

an empty elegance of throat

for simple punctuation

and as skies enchanted

with mysterious rhymes

and trees give up their unnamed fruit
THIS IS SO LOVELY TO READ..LOVE ~ SHE
