This was posted before my time on Creative and like fine wine it has aged well. A wonderful poem that was enjoyable to read. Your words wind down the page like strands of soft silk.

The seasons of our lives give poetry its imagery. The seasons are times eternal like the first signs of spring expressed by the warmth of its colours & the tender sounds of its newborn life.
Time & the seasons are truly a poet's friend.
All the best,

Well written, but unfortunately while i do believe poetry is immune to time's brutality often the poet is not... poetry is "A free man that strolls past/ Us imprisoned convicts of reality and time./ Occasionally leaving an everlasting impression..." at least thats what it is to me.. but none the less i genuinely enjoyed your poem and i think it will be going on to my favorites list.

Cindy I truly enjoyed this description of the poets heart. Your vivid word picture is intriguing and touches the true intent of the poet, describing life through the eyes of the artist.

How I smiled as I read this completely true and accurate description of what it means to be a poet.
It is beautifully crafted with a flowing rhythm to it but its the truth it contains in the lines which move me the most.

This is quite lovely, both in it's scope and imagery. Wonderful delivery. The mixing of colors, emotion, words, and painting - wow, what a canvas you work with here. There's just so, so much. Surely this will stand the test of time! Very well done!

You have captured the essence of writing and what it entails. The stripping down to a soul and then waving it into the wind. There is certainly safer things to do in life.
