Wages Of Sin

It was dark and empty, down in the city

Standards' pail light trickled down in pity

The light mist made the streets glimmer

Her make-up sparkle and her skirt shimmer

Slowly a car pulled up to the curb

She walked over without a word

The darkened window suddenly rolled down

A manicured hand motioned to go around

She opened the door and slid right in

They began to negogiate the wages of sin

From a window high above

Sat a single mourning dove
