The Hitchhiker (Ch.8)

I got back into the car,
handed Tony his cell phone
and started the car.

Tony: "Everything okay?"

Cynthia: "Yes, I feel better now that
I've called my babysitter."

Tony: "So, you have three kids huh?"

Cynthia: "Yes, I love them dearly."

Tony: "I'm tired."

Cynthia: "Me too, but I have

to get home."

Tony: "You don't mind if I
drift off do you?"

Cynthia: "No, go ahead."

As Tony ws drifting off to sleep,
I turned on the radio.

I needed something to keep me awake.

I was glad that the rain had stopped.
I didn't think the storm
was ever going to pass.

Radio Announcer: "There was a
muder this morning."
I knew I shouldn't have
turned the radio on.

Radio Announcer: "It happened around 1:30
this morning."

I wanted to turn the radio off,
but I wanted to know if
it was somebody I knew.

Radio Announcer: "The name of the victim
was not released.

The police say the person was hit
by a drunk driver on the highway."
I hoped it wasn't someone I knew.
They didn't released alot of details.

Radio Announcer: "More details about the
hit and run coming up
in the next hour."

OoOoOoH, it's the regualr murder mystery short short story series.
Alright, where's Mystery Inc. (or for the cartoon deprived, Scooby-Doo and the gang)?
Well...I'll look forward to part 9, whenever the next hour comes about.
