So there I was at the face of the cave,

Wondering how I was so brave.

I had passed through perils and was not dead.

I was ready to meet the dragon, head to head;

When a butterfly passed in front of my face

And took my concentration away from that place.

It's three pairs of legs kicked in the air,

While it fluttered around without a care.

It had elliptical wings of three great hues;

A shade of yellow and two of blue.

A set of saffron dots stared at me like eyes.

They were more radiant than any sunrise.

They caught the edge of a piercing sun ray,

And sprakled more brilliantly than this wondrous day.

Oh yeah, some time after my attention had ceased,

I found the dragon and slayed the beast.

LOL very cool :-) Butterflies, shiny things, breasts, there are so many things that distract from little things like dragons. Oh, and great poem, works perfectly.

Hmm... I like this. Its very different.. quite creative. I was expecting the dragon to attack while the guy was sidetracted actually. Either way, this is interesting... quite thought-provoking actually. Very nice. -Jo

A very bright reality check... and everything is always true and it's opposite… so with that in mind... sometimes a distraction can bring greater attention to detail...

Sometimes, in our day to day dragon slaying, it's a good thing to stop and smell the butterflies..:O)...len

The trick I think is realizing the distraction often gives you the carity to see the bigger picture in a new way that can help you in many ways..! Nicely done my friend..! I like this one..! I think I'll be thinking about it for awhile..!
