We Forgot!

Right after September 11th 2001,

The flags flew high and the people cried.

But now 4 years later, no one cares

Flags still fly, but they're the ones from then.

They're ratty and riped and need to retire.

But the owners don't notice and don't care

They're too busy living this nice life

To remember the ones who died

and the reason the flags flied.

We forgot.

After pearl harbor we got pissed,

We hunted down those japs and

killed them all, but we never learned

We forgot.

After the tower bombing of the 90's

Security went up for about a month

but now its gone, we never learned

We forgot.

After the olympic bombing we increased

Security around large sporting events

and other huge gatherings but never learned

We forgot.

After Sept 11th the security went up

Bush still wants it there and there it is

But people get mad at the soldiers because

We forgot.

Lets not forget the 2,986 people who died that day

or the 2,047 soldiers who have died since.

I won't let them forget, but I'm afraid that...

We Forgot.

well a long as you feel better... I don't think everyone has forgotten, not a day has gone by, when an airplane in the sky, doesnt remend me, of 9-11... Every day when I hear those roaring planes, I get scared... About the war and Bush,,,Hmmmm well I am not a fan of the Bush man... And that is all I have to say about that! Hon, I really don't think everyone has forgotten... I mean you wrote this, you haven't forgotten, right? Keep on writing, let it all out, that is exactly what I do... Thanx for sharing!
