People gathering to say goodbye

To a life they knew and often sigh

The place is nice but often scary

Once inside your heart grows weary

Beautiful flowers and delicate roses

Peaks the smell of scented aromas

As people all sit and greet the departed

The memory of what they see always charted

Behind all the music and the beautiful words spoken

Family members will cry, hearts forever broken

This was sad, but beatifully done. Funerals can be scary, but it gives you a last chance to say goodybye. Keep up the good work.

Funerals are hard. everything is so strange and rigid. Not at all what I would want at mine.

I never know what to say to the family at funerals...nothing lessens the i try to not say anything, and just be there for them. I answer phones at the house for them...fix food...give hugs when they are needed, and in general, just try to be helpful and caring. Words only go so's the emotional support that is needed.
Your poem is very much on the mark...and i know it is written from experience.
Great job...
Hugs, hon...

It is hard to say goodbye, but it is better to sat goodbye than hold onto the feelings that will hold you down forever.
