My Paper Heart
Scetches of my paper heart, drawn upon this page,
Broken pieces falling off, with every passing day,
Trying to keep it taped together or maybe even glued,
But nothing will hold it together, all because of you.

This paper heart has been ripped and tore,
Me wishing it was like it was before,
I was happy, I thought you were too,
But I guess when you said "i love you ", it wasn't true.

Now staring out my window, I picture all my memory,
And for some reason, you are all i see,
I tried to forget all about you but i couldn't,
Trying to tell you how i feel but i wouldn't.

A final farewell is all i could bare,
A stunning look crossed your face, as you just stood there,
Not a word uttered from your mouth, so i just walked away,
but I'll never know how you feel since i left that day.

My paper heart has been taped and glued to no end,
and after its all over, in the end i still have you as a friend,
there's a name written on this paper heart,
stained with in, all the tears did part.

I never thought I'd say it, but the name belongs to you,
now i can say i love you, and know it's true,
but seeing you with her, has made me give in,
bleeding out my paper heart, with the marks in my skin.

your name once painted in bright red on paper,
now lays in pieces on my floor, my poor heart tapered,
grieving with my sorrows, smiling with every tear,
i whisper three last words that only i can hear.

you'll never know how you tore my paper heart,
never shall you know how it kills me to be apart,
you have her, i guess its for the best,
but you'll never know the pain, i fill in my chest.
