Blessings Of Hooves

Little goats dance

Hop into pools of moonlight.

for you only know the

magic of milk

horns are just suggestions

just buttons that wait

to grow out into the world

and welcome new changes

but you

tussle in the star stained hills

as your tails twirl

and you buck each other

forehead to forehead and climb

every conveyable liquid word

that you find

 with your curious hooves

flapping ears.....

still in the morning

we find you

asleep and dreaming curled with

each muzzle

placed on the haunches

of fellow dreamer

embracing and curling

newborns of days

in hay of innocence

and we the old ones

can only remember

when the moon

was a hill spelled

with unknown letters of craters

and we ate the leaves

of the sky,

drank the dew of the night

and stars just tasted simple

tender leafs that curved

in our mouths

for you are the dreams

and remembrance of paradise

hidden in harness of empty insides…

I have to confess i am still trying to understand exactly what you are saying. I cannot comment on anything other than the feelings evoked by a poem if I do not understand it.
However, once I have deciphered your very individual style.....then their hidden treasures shall be made manifest to me.

I liked the point you make about perceptions...once we have outgrown them, it is very hard to recapture...we are lucky to remember fleetingly the feeling of being at that point...

I enjoyed the little goat imagery. :o)

Best wishes,
