Wise moon

Wise Moon

I cast my eyes over my shattered crystal heart that lies before me.

Multi facetted images reflect from the tiny crystal pieces, images of my iridescent opal like tears, vibrant colours dance like lightening flashes glazed by the burning liquid that fills mine eyes.

I sit in silence, alone under a velvet sky; the stars like frosted moonstones peep through the rich velvet, lady moons beam shrouds me as if in a spotlight, she feels my pain.

I draw from her wisdom of ages past from her strength I gain knowledge, my tears now diminishing my pain subsides.

A ray of hope runs trough my body, I understand that we cannot fight this world’s evil single-handed; we can however pray that the greater good prevails over evil.

Those who inflict will come to justice no more will they prey on the innocent among us.

I enjoyed this poem of depth...

One of personal pain, extending to embrace the universal pain of the world.

May we one day find peace as a whole as well as individually.

I enjoyed the crystal shards...very vivid imagery.
