Princess and her Knight

The day had come at last,

she was to meet her hero.

Finally the storm could pass,

and make way for a rainbow.

~

He had been there always,

for his special 'Princess".

Yet today they would meet,

he was feeling ever so cautious.

~

She was waiting at the airport,

for her "White knight" to come.

She couldn't wait to see him,

this man of so much wisdom.

~

His plane is almost there,

but he doesn't even notice.

He's dreaming of the first time,

he 'met' his darling "Princess".

~

The plane has now landed,

and passengers are arriving.

She's getting really nervous now,

she can't believe they're meeting.

~

He's the last through the gate,

and he takes a look around.

He looks at the photo in his hand,

then sees her in the background.

~

She wipes a tear from her eye,

as she sees his come her way.

She wraps her arms around him,

laughs "You're not getting away".

~

He holds her tight and smiles,

"Babe, I'm not going anywhere".

He's finally with his one true love,

and he whispers a quick prayer.

~

She takes his hand and thinks,

of how well it fits with her own.

She always knew he was her true love,

and now she's taking him home.

~

"White knight" and "Princess",

now thank God above.

That they met in that chatroom,

and feel deeply in love.

Author's Notes:

Another fictional poem,

inspired by my Brother, who met his wife online in a chat room.
