I liked to play the game and roll the dice
But when I lost it was never pretty or nice
I've almost lost my life for bad mistakes
So please remember that can be the breaks

There was a time I carried a bad attitude
This life and me seemed to have a fued
But the power this existence has to bring
Smacked me hard and it began to sting

I've seen a few things some may never see
So I try to pass it on to all humanity
I'm no one special and don't think that way
I'm only writing what I hear the whispers say

Sometimes these poems are a piece of me
There are times they're more about reality
These are decisions I'll let you decide
The Journey lets the sides of life divide

Author's Notes:
I am sorry I have not had a lot of time lately
and I really miss being more active around here!
The newest book ~Reflections~ The Best of The Journey
is really absorbing my time so
I thought I'd post something that will be part of the
7th book from The Journey-
May the light of Shrangri~La shine upon you all!
Best Wishes~

As we wait for the new book to come out, I am looking back through some of your old work that still is as fresh and meaningful as the first time I read them.

Hope all is well!

My Brother, James...
It's always great to open my inbox and find a post alert with your name attached! This, like all the others of yours that I've read, is a fantastic view into a heart of gold. You always bring so much out in your writes, and your compassion for others shines through. The fact that you've come so far in your life and want to help others do the same tells me that you are genuine...real...and wonderful!
Hugs from your sister in NC...
