Hey brilliant star, you move me more than all.
Take me today wherever you like, wherever you are.
With words you set my mind alight.
Your thoughts fill my sails and send me near and far.

Your pen the hammer and chisel,
Carving pain and trial away, removing the sorrow.
Reshaping cracks and pitts of tears,
Into smooth channels for a stream of truth to flow.

Your words like a brush, emotion your palette,
Mixing brilliant colors, in their motion my mind sways.
Forming a vivid picture from the delicate strokes
Your thoughts a fusion of a thousand colors, each carefully arrayed.

Your ideas bring inspiration,
Tenderly fill me with perspective anew.
Bring me hope, happiness, and delight.
While they instruct me about your point of view.

Your image takes shape in this space
From the many words, thoughts, and ideas you imbue.
Tempered by what you don’t say
And tethered by what you do.

Your intellect is all that I can know.
But touch my heart you really do.
Tickle my mind and satisfy my soul,
As I happily find more to know about you.

Whether our eyes would choose the same horizon
To visit if they could share
Matters not to either now I know,
We're both content to exist here without a care.

No promises or worries needed then
The challenge is simply to delight and not keep score.
We can belong to the many and all.
And tread the high road as we both explore.

Although desires haunt me sometimes,
Imagining being with you is so easy and makes me glow.
More than this, though, might pen up your spirit,
And that's something I never want you to know.

"Tempered by what you donít say
And tethered by what you do", I love these lines.

Your deep admiration for her is evident here. Your hear has wings Richard. May your flight together be regal, rewarding and memorable.

This is a stirring poem Rich...packed with promise and fresh emotion. I wish I'd read it two years ago when it was hot off the press. =))

A little mystery is good for the creative mind..Your mentor from afar has had a profound impact..Perhaps, it would have been better for Dorothy, to not look behind the curtain and dicover the true OZ....:O)...len

I am beyond breathless, I am blown utterly and completely away. I don't think I've ever ready anything so beautiful in my life...Call a plumber 'cause my eyes just sprung a leak....
