War Torn World
As you board the truck,
And it drives away,
I get a terrible feeling,
That you won't come back someday.
With a gun in your hand,
And fear in your heart,
You venture to a new world,
Which war has torn apart.
You will see death,
When you look around,
You will hear your friend's screams,
Followed by gunshot sounds.
While I sleep comfortably,
In my luke warm bed,
Your'e hoping you come back,
Alive...not dead.
You fall asleep,
On the cold, hard ground,
The only lullaby you have,
Are machine gun sounds.
You have to come back,
You have to live on,
I don't know what I'd do,
If you were dead and gone.
Until you come back,
These tears will never dry,
But if I never see you again,
I love you...goodbye.
