Tick tock.
Click clack.
Heart like a pendulum,
Life a train track.
At rest, faster, fastest.
Slow, slower, then stop!
Fall in love, smash your heart, assess,
And repeat thereafter till you drop.
Like a pendulum a heart sways,
While standing on life's train.
How many cycles before,
You see who you really are?
The scenery changes,
Your love ebbs and flows.
You know the cycle,
Can't stand when it's slow.
By this age you should know,
What your heart needs to grow,
But timing is everything,
And back you can't go.
Tick tock two pendula now.
Two trains moving quickly.
Their beginnings unclear.
Destination unknown.
But with conditions just right,
They swing in phase for a while.
Synchronously, together,
And then suddenly not.
A slight difference in energy,
Just a small change in mass,
Affects the movement of either,
And then what a mess.
Tick tock,
Click clack!
Hearts synced for a moment
And then just not! |
