Incantation
Grass always whispers in the night
Speaks its sweetness beyond insight
Unfathomable echos
write your worlds with in my ear
For i in bed,
i with a thread bare blanket am willing
to wonder at your meekness
 your hidden coldness.
Listen to your wisdom
with imperfect hearing.
Impressed with goodness from beyond
reason or expansive clouds and leaf.

Naked beyond spelling or meaning
and gleaming stars luminous and swarming
bees of serendipity labor in the distant heavens. . .

Nestle in my unworthy wishes
And falsehood of my rock like thumbs
My troll like words skuffel
May find the shelter of homes of solitude
under Well worn tombs
Let me be like the prairie vast
Be playful, Mysterious in generosity
With overflowing kindness
And capable of giving gifts

In the poverty of my deeds--
an inward flatness make in me.
Let the cursive of my soul simply be
Let my flesh grow thin
in forgetfulness And my shadow.
Letters with inward hills
Ponderous like a mule
Overflowing thoughts raindrops
From a storm that shares my name.

Let my prayer like wild flowers bloom
My voice slips through the simple ceiling
Of my perception, looms of stars waiting
to find the curves of moon-
that shimmers with a ghostly gleam...

ANDREW, HOW I FELT THIS POEM...Overflowing thoughts raindrops
From a storm that shares my name.

Let my prayer like wild flowers bloom
My voice slips through the simple ceiling
Of my perception, looms of stars waiting
to find the curves of moon-
that shimmers with a ghostly gleam...
