HARDLY A STAR

THERE IS HARDLY A STAR
IN THE CITY SKY AT NIGHT
ON THE OCEAN OUT FAR
THEY ARE ALL SO BRIGHT
TEN THOUSAND WONDERS
LIKE YEARS AGO
SAILORS LOOKED OUT
OVER THE OCEAN BELOW
IN WONDER AND AMAZMENT
THEY STARE
TERRESTRIAL SPHERES
SHINING LIGHT
THE MAGESTIC WIND
IN THE AIR
GUIDING STARS
ON THE VOYAGE TONIGHT
THE STARGAZER LOOKS
BEYOND HORIZONS AFAR
TAKES OUT HIS MAP
TO SHOW WHERE THEY ARE
WITHOUT THE ONE
TO SHOW THEM THE WAY
IT WOULD BE LIKE
LOOKING FOR STARS
IN THE CITY TODAY

The progression of time and technology has taken away many of life's simpler pleasures, and ones that were useful. Loved this addition to the topic..barbie

Fletch, this is brilliant. I was at sea for six years and the most beautiful site there is to see is the night sky. Stars look like diamomds on a black velvet cloth. Living in a city or small town, people loose this gift given to us. Great write mate, I really enjoyed this.

William.

This very pretty! True I hate the fact that we can't see the stars at night, because of all the city lights.
