Vibrant (Sestina)
Forever striding onward is true love.
Tested as a weary soldier; the word.
Cautious feet shuffle as strident minds spar,
Losing steady steps, emotions colliding.
Sparks ascend in star shower, vibrant.
Battleground sighs, preparing for the storm.

Shower descends in onslaught, raging storm!
Cast aside in heat of battle is love.
Tortuous agony remains vibrant,
Carrying on at fevered pitch, warring words.
Sweet, garrulous convictions now colliding.
Love dances between voices as hearts spar.

Soft, the nightís whisper waits within spar,
Tempering the undying breach of storms.
Quiet arms hold heart and mind colliding,
Keeping safe, the gem hidden that is love,
Reminding only action is the fuel, not word.
Glowing secretly, it is invisible, yet vibrant.

Tongues of the beckoning tempest, eyes vibrant,
Conspire with a lone care while minds spar.
Lost soldiers grow wearied from dark storm,
Empty agony, no voice to speak word.
Feverish silence becomes agonyís love;
Doubt searching and descending, life colliding.

Far off in the firestorm colliding,
Eyes search wearily for memory vibrant.
Two stand quietly, recognizing love.
Voices of too many speak in garbled spar,
Minds finding confusion in lost storm,
Weary deception of sound ruins word.

Patience, weary in emotionís lost word,
Silence is finally broken, minds colliding,
Two rejuvenated soldiers within storm,
Lingering aside from those so vibrant
Recognizing heartís vision beyond spar,
Dawn finds quiet thoughtís expressing love.

Future dawns, sweet, ascending, vibrant,
Words unneeded nor cunning mind spar,
Wisdom and patience and trust prove true love.

This is a poem which deserves to be read and read again so full it is of beautiful words and imagery. It is like a piece of tapestry all the different colours making an exquisite whole.

As your words collide with the violent storm, our love spars with the ungracious tempest of time... For a guy who despises everything repetitive, even when it comes to poetry, your words have become captivating and pleasurable to read. Although if it were I who was writing the poem, I would have thrown some bigger words in there (just to avoid the reptition). ;)
