Dancing Children

Swirling and twirling to mountain music
Laughing and dipping
Occasionally tripping
With the stereo loud...
Blaring to the tune of
"Rocky Top"
This is living...
A Christmas tradition
Josie and Logan
Jacob and Raven
Kaleigh and Justin
Sisters, brothers and cousins
A Brady Bunch half a dozen
Grandparents'  joys
Happy girls and boys
Making musical memories
To a band of
stringed instruments
To place in my private cache'
For a later time to cherish
I watched from the kitchen without a sound
As they gayly danced around
I'll always remember the joy it brought
When the children all danced
to  "Rocky Top"
