Benediction For A New Year
New years start
On the ending of old ones.
So the round corners of my simpleness–
Skimpiness of my resilience
Whisper in the strands of my hair.
What hurt remain
Shall surly heal.

Darkness always find
Light as newness
Draws all things to strength.
For what is a mountain without ground?

Patches on the heart
Shall mend
But never can the heart be the same.
For it changes
and never shall resume
its previous shape–
For sorrow ripens growth

Beyond boundaries that
Can seldom be imagined.
Corridors unrecognized
Blessings unspoken
In painful language…

So in your smile
Let all things flow
Beyond the patterns of the mind
as gleaming words
are hidden in the coming days
Treasuries of letters
As moon is replaced by sun
As the new year races
Always to be replaced
by the promise of a simple joy
For another year does stir
that is not worn by tears
Or cheaply painted in confusion
For the soul in patience waits..…

Andrew~
And yet another year has passed ...and what shall this year bring forth for you?
I wish nothing less for you my friend, a year filled with wonderful memories and a sparrow
that constantly sings within your heart..of only happiness, far away from sorrow.
Sing loud sparrow :o)

This is another lovely write Andrew.
It is so true that even after a
heart heals there remains scars that
forever change the shape.
A new year dawns not yet filled
with confusion and stained with tears.
This is very fitting for the new year.
