Understanding Limps
Silence blooms
Its odd flowers
As night thought climb
Up the trellises of darkness.
Far away windows
gleam through the corpse of trees.

As lost as i seem
a pilgrim waiting
as sacredness gentle touchs-
encroaches on my threadbare awareness...
i may not know
Where i walk
but the blowing leaves
under my feet
Levitates and creaks
Traces the moonlight
As they my missing children
choose the quickest wind
To merge within…

To be carried
to the distant window–-
that waits in vacant wonder
To sweep their wisdom
across the smoothness of glass
in alien suggestions
Beyond the weaving shrouds of grass.
Ruffle and billow
For their trees have forgotten them.

The best thing about being
Lost is someday
You discover
The question mark
Of your self
That you have written
In the darkness
As your understanding limps.
