Looking In~2-W

Looking In

I learned to survive without affection
Avoiding the need to achieve perfection
Turning my head so I wouldnít see
Things I ignored surrounding me

This fight's made my soul grow thinner
I'm trapped between a saint and a sinner
When Iíve tried to run far from this place
The doors were slammed right in my face

So through the depths of this epidimy
I will run forever and endlessly
And from the outside looking in
Itís hard to force a smile or grin

James, it was a pleasure to read this poem again. The line 'This fight's made my soul grow thinner' is striking and impacting.
