Ending Words
Words one day too must end.
Save as many as you can
with a flowing pen.
Voice one day too must end
speak as though beyond each day
forgetfulness waits.
Remember gentleness
Spelling one day to must end
spell bravely but remember
the sparrows of letters
always may fall in helpful ways--
far from concise pools of dictionaries.
One day the hand that writes
might stop its flourish
as ink crumbles into the dust
of nothingness..

Today is not day
but in the shadows of connections
the two headed monster
of a clock lurks and waits
too end literature’s embrace.
So strange poem kiss me
with your mysterious lips
for one day too this will end.

i shall remain but cannot last
my wordless grave
is cold and lonely without me.
Even the grave one day
too must pass
and ladderless worlds may one day speak
for the best place for a poem to rest
is within the curious depths another poem....

Beautiful, very much. I just love the way you take an universal truth - in this case 'everything has an end' - and transform it in great poetry.
