Unnamed Word
i knew a lost word
that lived in an empty sentence.
For i always sought the lost words
as a gentle lexicographer
Of non importance--
How the angel of dictionary
tried to diagram its mystery.
Script its higher geometry.
With the angles flowing hands
reflected nothing but a lack
of wisdoms intersections..

Its true nature
was hidden from
itself in unnameable boundaries
and shapeless letters.
It found no comfort
as it sang among
constellations of wondrous grammar
its capillaries flowed ink
in curving meaning
beyond minds sight--
for it could not spell itself
or rearrange its letters
as the days grew dim...

Until one day
it wove the shroud of death
around its self--
and in the luminous emergence
two new words came forth
into the cold sentence of my heart
and so my shivering tears
supplied the final tombstone of a period
while the twin sphinxes of description
asks their concordant riddles...
